Top Tips for Travelling
Travelling can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life, but there are lots to think about. Here are six top tips to help alleviate the stress of travelling so you can enjoy yourself more!

Don’t waste any part of your day
The earlier you get up, the more likely you are to avoid queues, crowds, and the likes of scammers, beggars and hawkers who are often a feature of major cities and less savory areas. Remember: you’re at a place that may never see again; don’t spend your time sleeping in!

Have Emergency Cash Stashes
You’re going to need cash on your travels and plenty of it; make sure that you keep several different stashes of cash in your room and about your person. ATMs can go down, you could lose money or worse have it stolen; it pays (no pun intended!) to have various stashes in case of emergency.

Take Note of Rules of Different Countries
In Malaysia, for example, requires your passport to be valid for 6 months before you enter the country. Look over the country’s website for vital information before you hop on board!

Take a Scarf
It might sound silly but a good scarf has many uses. It can keep you warm, it can keep the sun off you, it can act as a towel, you can use it as an eye mask, you can clean up with it and the list goes on! It’s a multiuse accessory that everyone should travel with.

Meet the Locals
When you’re abroad you have a unique opportunity to meet people from different cultures and walks of life. It’s enriching to embrace these new cultures and ways of life; “when in Rome” you need to give it a go, throw yourself into experiencing a different perspective on life.

Photos, Photos, Photos!
Hopefully you’ll be experiencing a once in a lifetime holiday when you’re away and as such you need to capture as many memories as you can via photographs. Make sure you have a camera (or your camera phone) handy at all times to capture those special moments and magical experiences that will, hopefully, stay with you forever.

Stay Safe
Make sure someone knows where you are at all times. Give someone at home your contact details and details of where you’ll be staying at various points of your travel; this way if anything does go wrong it’s easier for any local authorities to find you and help you out.
